ok, i installed mandrake 7.2 on my server, but now im having video problems. i couldnt tell if the image i saw was correct or not, and it looked like it was.

now when i boot, im having problems seeing correct images, so much so that i cant even log on.

how can i change my video adapter fro mthe command line?

thanks

UPDATE i was able to select my monitor and video card, a Viewsonic G773, and a Trident 9680 video card, but the test is still distorted. i dont get why it doesnt work.

Xconfigurator or XF86Setup or xfconfig should be lying around somewhere. Just press the first few characters and press TAB to see what possibilities exist. Oh yeah, I forgot XFdrake.

When you try those commands are you logged in as root or a regular user? You should be root or you'll probably get a bad command error since its not in your path. Also do the caps like SUO showed you, xconfigurator wont exist but Xconfigurator will exist. Try a whereis Xconfigurator and you should even be able to see it.
