UPDATE!!! It has arrived... my camera!!!

i've been tossing between several models... that's about the biggest thing i did...

it's a nice camera... i hope it does not suck.

anyway, it's really hard to put a price on something that one has never owned. This is my first camera, EVER, which includes film...

the price is in the lens...

a comparable camera is the nikon 990... ;-)
 
I just purchased the Sony CD-1000 Mavica CD-R camera. This thing is the sweetest thing since sliced bread especially since it writes the images directly onto 3" Mini CD-R. Breath taking images and ease of use a plus.

 
Did you look at the Olympus C3030 at all? I'd but that baby up in that group of camera's too. the F505 does have the nicest lense, but if I remember right, it doesn't have a viewfinder(or does it)?
