Sunday, I ordered several types of case fans and many cooling accessories from http://www.nexfan.com and I'm beginning to think they are a scam. Below is I what I sent to Yahoo Merchant accounts since that's who they use:

They won't answer email. I've been waiting 4 days since the order was placed, sent two emails asking for status, and still have yet to be told if they even have the damn goods!!! ALL of their email addresses given at their website except one for one (help@), bounced back "no such user"!!! Support@nexfan.com is bogus, as is info@nexfan.com, and even rma@nexfan.com! So, I called them on the damn phone *during their business hours* and they have the audacity to answer with a recorded message that actually states (get this): "EMAIL US for faster service"!! My credit card of course has been charged. Is this place a scam?? They also have absolutely NO CONTACT info in the initial order confirmation email of which Yahoo merchants are required to do! It gets worse. I just tried the phone number given in a whois of their domain name and it's fraudulent!! If I am told today the order is on its way, I will gladly update this information.

I even gets worse; on the page you get after submitting a Yahoo merchant review, there is a link to "See merchant reviews" and that link is bogus!! Apparently, they are not even a Yahoo merchant!! ResellerRatings.com has the BEST comments on them I've ever seen for a place, of which is very suspect since they are so MUCH better than anyone else's!! Probably all "plants" by their employees! So, of course I'm curious if any of you has had dealings with them or has heard anything about them.

I looked at some of the prices on their home page, and they look way too good to be true. I'm skeptical.

If you're worried, call your credit card company and tell them that the charge is fraudulent and have it cancelled.
 
Yeah I know, I mentioned ResellerRatings.com in my post. 😉 It's not the $ I'm concerned about since that can be reversed if they are crooks, it's all the goods I ordered that are for an important client and the goods cannot be found elsewhere.
 
Something's fishy; they have tons of reseller ratings up until 2004, then it drops off to just a couple. Have you tried calling them?
 
I've dealt with NexFan several times in the past, but admittedly not recently. They've always been very up front with me and the service was always excellent. I doubt they all of sudden decided to go bad. It's more likely they're in the midst of a move of some kind.

I mentioned in my post that I tried calling the # at their website (recording), AND the # in their domain whois lookup (bogus). See post again. 🙂

 
Well, after 8 minutes going through an endless menu, I finally got Yahoo on the phone and they of course won't tell me CRAP about them!! They refuse to even tell if they are even a customer of theirs with a Yahoo merchant account!! All I can do now is wait for Yahoo to reply to my emails. So, I'm in a holding pattern for now.
 
I got a reply back from Yahoo and they said they'd "have the merchant contact me", but didn't comment on the fact the Nexfan Yahoo merchant link was bad, nor the fact they were not even listed in the Yahoo merchant shopping directory.

Nexfan finally contacted me, and just as I expected, they are out of some of the items. And I don't hear about this until more than four days after the order was placed, and what they did have was never even shipped! Evidently they planned on never telling me and keeping the $ for the order. The guy said "we had to change all of our email addresses" which does not indemnify them from selling goods they don't have, ignoring emails they receive to the ONE address that DID work, the failure of changing/removing invalid email addresses from their website, nor the failure of contacting customers regarding the non-shipment of orders. I won't be ordering from them again. One of the items they were out of were Sunon KDE1208PTBX-6A 80mm fans (of which of course are STILL listed at their website as being available)! Of course no one else carries these fans according to search engines for anywhere near that price. I only found two places on the planet that carries them, and they were $20 each at one, and the other place has a $200 minimum order! If anyone knows of any 80x80x25mm case fans with >50 CFM air flow for $4.99 or less & with free or low shipping, please let me know. He said they were getting more in, but I don't trust them.

well..the one that I have left out of quite a few..had got from a reliable source..from 2CoolTek..actually had contacted that site via phone and a conversation with the guy upon his callback when I had difficulties with cc info.goodluck 🙂

I'm confused a bit on what you're saying, sorry. 🙂 Are you saying you ordered these fans at that link and you didn't receive them?

no problem with rec'ing or the order..just the cc I was using had issues which he helped me to resolve..i.e. excellent customer service from 2CoolTek..crappy service from cc issuer 🙂
 
Ok I understand. Yeah, SafeShopper has some "issues".

Their shipping $ is reasonable, only $4.50 but the fans are bit more @$8.00 compared to $4.99. If worse comes to worse I can order from them though. Thanks for the link, looks like they have other good items as well.

I've ordered several times from Nexfan.com, great prices on their fans.
I've never had any problems with any of my orders.

I did, that's how I found their email address (I had a question about something). They didn't turn up in any search and I see they have some higher air flow 40mm fans I need. I got mine from Directron and they were lower CFM that 2cooltek. 🙁 Same price too.
