I'm with Confused. I have an XP1700+ JIUHB and without much voltage it would do around 2000/XP2400+ levels. Not what other people got, but hell I was happy with that boost. Two weeks ago I got a 2.4C OEM (running with a Zalman CNPS7000-Cu) and I'm _only_ able to run it at around 2.7GHz. My IS7 won't even POST at 3GHz with the RAM turned down to the lowest ratio (2/3 or 3/2 or something like that). 2.8GHz was unstable. 2.7 is fine, and now I'm even running my RAM at 1/1 ratio, 225x2=450. Sure, I'm happy. Heck, I can now even turn down my Zalman cooler so my system is really quiet. I'd have loved to get 3.0-3.3GHz, but I'm running stable with a 300MHz overclock (stable, as in for many days on end without a reboot).
Only thing I'm not happy with is my Asus GF4 Ti4280. In almost all 3D apps it gets major artifacts - not overclocked and the AGP is locked at 66. What this has to do with the Intel CPU rumor... dunno.
