"I apologize to anyone who was insulted," Lacovara said. "It was never my intention to offend anyone. I was looking at these more like antiques."

He said he and his family have received many hostile letters and phone calls from people upset that the letters were put up for auction, and said it never was his intention to profit from them.

What did he expect would happen? What a tool!

He should have sold them and donated the money to a good cause. There just LETTERS!

Screw that. I'd have sold it and bought a new mobo and RAM, which I need pretty badly...

Who cares if he put them up for auction? He found them so he can do what he wants to with them.

What a tool. How can he say he saw them as antiques, then say that he never intended to profit from them by auctioning them off?

At least he's doing the right thing in the end.

I wonder who the dirtbag is who threw them in the ocean to begin with. It was probably the daughter cleaning out his house!
