Update- In houston and homeless

soon i will be moving to houston for the summer and was wondering if anyone had suggestions on housing.

Update- Now in houston...gonna stay with my new boss for a week or so while i find summer housing! FUN! right now im just using Rice university library computers

I have a few friends who live there. You need to provide a little more info though. Houton is astonishingly HUGE... what part of the city (suburb?) do you want to live in? Where is your job going to be? All of the speed limits in Houston are 55mph now, so you don't want to have to commute too much.

Also, how much can you afford to spend?

Heh, also, just know that you're going to be wearing shorts year-round. That city is so damn hot all the time!

I will be working at MD Anderson, which is part of the large medical campus there, that i believe is right with Rice University too. I know nothing about Houston as I have never been. i am looking for a place hopefully max around $500 a month, but i am flexable.

I dont know houston housing options that well but if its anywhere near rice your not going to find much it the 500 range.

OK so I take it you're looking for a 1br apartment? I'll check with my friends down there to see if they have any suggestions. In the meantime, check out For Rent to get an idea of what you're going to be paying for what you want. They let yo narrow down by amenities, price, etc.

Edit: so it's just for the summer? Have you asked MD Anderson for placement assistance? Usually, internships provide that service for free. Just a thought.
