I ordered a set of Polk speakers to complete my 5.1 system. Today my wife texted me to ask me why I ordered a TV wall mount. UUUhhh, what? Well, they shipped a TV mount with a shipping sticker that says Polk speakers. Called and they nicely shipped me another set of speakers by charging my credit card pending receiving the mount back. CS was polite and helpful.

No, just frustrating. More frustrating that all the fraudsters require me to place a hold on my credit for another set of speakers. Not a problem, just irritating and I don't blame Newegg for it. Errors happen, I understand that. All things consider Newegg did a good job addressing them and I'll continue to do business with them. Just hope they can figure out why a Polk shipping label was placed onto a Rosewill box to stop future incidents from happening.

I'm still waiting for an order I placed on Nov 30th. Newegg has lost my future business.

Just placed an order with you guys. Was thinking of using Will-Call since I work pretty much in the building next to you but had it shipped instead. Wondering if that's gonna be a bad choice.

If you ever watch any shipping companies on Undercover Boss or similar shows, it gives you an idea of what order fullfillment centers look like. There's a few of them around here that get up in the 90-100 degree temps in the summer and are in the 50's-60's in the winter....maybe colder when trucks are loading at the docks.

I would never work a job like that, but I can imagine the likelyhood of errors from holiday temps filling orders would cause a spike in errors.

Amazon has never fucked up my orders, any time of the year.

Well my speakers still hadn't shipped yesterday so I gave them a call. They are now denying that a cross ship secured by credit card was ever done, even though I have the email to prove it. They are now wanting proof it was shipped before they will send the replacement. If they would have just admitted to the mistake I would have been fine but I can't stand being lied to. I did lose a rebate that was available when I ordered and they have honored that in the form of a gift card. Once I spend that I'm done with them.

sell the gift card

I've been done with the egg since my account got hijacked and they refused to do anything about it. It caused a breach in some other accounts and it took a while to get cleaned up. The only thing Newegg would do is delete my old account.

OK...I lose 10+ years worth of buying history? That's fine, they lost me as a customer.

I ordered this switch for $45 and newegg shipped me a random ~$90 pair of headphones. Upon calling, newegg was confused and started an RMA process. They gave me a return label and said they would ship out the switch.

I got a refund and no switch.

Without a doubt, someone screwed up the pricing and not once, but twice they screwed me over. Unbelievable.

This thread is about a low paid over-worked warehouse worker making a mistake. Newegg covered their bad - why be so emo and start an another newegg hate thread. There seems to be plenty legit reasons lately, but this one is just an @ss-grab imo.

Your missing the point. Originally wasn't really upset, even commented on the nice CS. It was when they never shipped the replacement and lied trying to cover there butts instead of admitting they made a mistake a second time I got fed up with them. They ship tons and tons of packages so mistakes will be make, I understand that. The key is fixing those mistakes, they failed here. Even then, mistakes happen. But when you lie instead of fixing the mistake that was supposed to fix the original mistake is where I draw the line.

I read this:

...and I'm still not seeing where "they lied trying to cover there butts instead of admitting they made a mistake a second time"

The low-paid, overworked employee is an official representative of Newegg. If Newegg fucks up, they should fix their fuckup and not blame the customer.

If it makes you feel any better, NCIX is just as retarded as Newegg now. Getting hard to find good service when buying computer parts now.

No kidding, I ordered a printer from them. A week later no printer and no email or anything on my order status page showing it was shipped.
Called them up to find out what was up, the printer had shipped a day after I ordered it but nothing was ever updated in their system.

Yeah, I had my credit card compromised and they couldn't take a payment. Instead of asking if I had another payment method, they gave me this big run around. Took me a week to get it dealt with. Almost lost my PS4 pre-order as a result. I was not amused. Oh, it took 15min to sort the credit card issue with Capital One, and I had a new card before I heard back from NCIX. It's worth noting that I used to work front line in a cashless retail environment so I know how long these things should take to fix. Especially routine problems like this one was.

Canada Computers used to be pretty bad as well but they've improved drastically in recent years. Which is how it should be done. So guess who's getting me computer business from now on.

newegg gets my respect for fighting patent trolls. That is difference that private vs. public company can make
