(This was posted by me a few weeks ago - apparently, it wasn't a 'harmless' shooting - meaning, it was intended for someone)

Yeah, a few hours ago, I was sitting in my room reading, and all of a sudden I hear these four loud noises, like loud firecrackers, then tires screeching . . . I almost jumped out of my seat and when I wonder what the HELL it could've been (most likely gunshots, I guessed), my other roommate comes to my door, asks if I've heard the gunshots . . ..

Y'know, I do live in the slummy part of the neightborhood, but damn . . ..

I'm sooo not living here next year.

***UPDATE:***

Well, it happens so that one of the bullets went through our neighbor's apartment - it went through her son's bedroom wall, and ended up in his crib - yes, the son is an infant . . ..

Apparently, the neighbor and the boyfriend/father of the baby had an argument shortly before that, and police are cruising around the area every night.

Needless to say, the neighbor's moving out this month; but the fvcking apartment manager had the gull to say that the lease wasn't up - the neighbor threatened to take them to court, and the matter was settled immediately (like they'd have any chance in hell of winning - the manager, 'course).

I'm soo not living here next year.

Central Illinois - it's a nice little town surrounded by farms, but as a program here, they've moved the people form Cabrini Green (worst part of the slums of Chicago) down to these places like this . . ..

I just live in the particualr side of the town where they're all moved in . . . since it's cheaper . . ..

I'm off to sleep. Hope I get to wake up tomarrow. 😉
 
same thing happened here a week ago. 4 to 5 loud pops, an hour later, cops show up asking everyone if we heard gun shots.

I live right next to SJSU, san jose.

Well, considering my friend was an innocent bystander in his own apartment when he was shot 4 times last year, that isn't funny, fvcker.

Where in Central IL? I'm in Champaign. If you're in Urbana, I feel for ya. The slum of Urbana is a perfect example of anti-business leftism.

OMG, if I heard gunshots like that in my neighborhood, I'd move the next week. Or at least pile up some sandbags in my room and sleep on the floor. Yikes.

Actually, I'm living with my roommate, who's an ex-marine, - he said that he's going to start shooting back with his rifle if it happened again . . . but he was joking, of course. 😉
