Just got my Wii Replacement Disc Form in the mail along with a CD mailer to send off my copy due to the Dolby digital surround sound bug.

Sucks that I'll be without my favorite game for THREE - FOUR WEEKS until they can send a replacement :(

Ehh, GH3 gets kind of old fast IMO. I played GH2 and GH3 for the 360...and now after having gotten Rock Band...don't care to pickup GH3 again, least not for a while.

Considering that Rock Band isn't out yet for the Wii... ;)

probably not. I just filled out the replacement program form yesterday, and they said they would contact me when the new disks were ready. So far no e-mail or snail from then yet about it.

I'm surprised that they're not allowing for advanced mailings of the discs, like they do with RMAs. You give them a credit card number, they send you the new disc, and then you have XX amount of days to send it back, otherwise your credit card gets charged.

Instead of sending in the disk and being without the game, I'll just download the remastered disk when it's ripped.

I'm just gonna make a backup of my flawed copy to play on my Wii for the week or so I'm without an original disk.

aren't you not allowed to make copies anymore of games even if you own it? Bah, what Nintendo gains in crazy console sales they lose in software being so easy to rip. Something Sony Doesn't have to worry about for the time being.

Wow...thats real dick. Didnt EA give a free *good* game for the busted RB guitar, like within a week or two of the problem?

And Activision wants you to send your disc and be without it for weeks for a *simple* software bug that they took three months to fix? Thats absurd. I hope they do lose that case.

Activision is really screwing up the post release stuff for GH3. The site wasn't working for weeks, they still don't have extra guitars available, the months of waiting for a response on the mono sound bug. Now another couple weeks to replace the discs.
EA handled Rock Band about 100 times better than Activision even with all the broken instrument issues.

They need to call up ol' Mikey* to get some advice on how to treat their customers ;).

Just got an email saying that my replacement disc shipped on the 25th. Should be here any day now. That wasn't so bad.

I just sent my Disc out this morning.

Activision also is offering refunds for the game too. Linky

I'm considering of getting the refund for the second copy I bought for the extra guitar and buying one of the Nyko guitars when they're released. The offer is good until August 31st so the nykos should be out by then.

I didn't notice that much of a difference at all. For reference, I have an Onkyo HTS-590S 5.1 setup.

If they offered this for the X360 version I would do it in a heartbeat... The game and guitar have been sitting on a shelf in the original packaging since late november.
