If you are enough of a psycho to buy only things made in the USA then you probably deserve to be shafted for being blind to the fact that other nations have made a vast amount of products superior to the US's for a long time... and doing it because you want to make sure hard working americans have jobs is dumb too because an employer wouldn't hesitate to put illegals in their factories if they can get away with it.

A couple years ago, there was an AT member who worked at OfficeMax (or another office supply store). They were having a big sale on monitors, I think it was unadvertised, there was a thread in Hot Deals about it. Someone went to the store and they wouldn't give them the discounted price. So they printed out the thread, along with the AT members contact info from his profile, and he was fired shortly thereafter.

Another AT'er was fired for Home Depot for letting people know what items were being included in clearance sales.

Now ATOT people may not be as rabid as the HD folks, but you never know. I personally wouldn't post any whistleblowing statements here if I valued my job at all.

I work for a glassware company in Southern New Jersey ( ARC International/Durand Glass) theyre a French owned company. I recently discovered that they were taking these white casserole dishes that were made in France, having some guys grinders grind out the "Made in France" logo on the bottom of the dish, and then they would put a Made In USA sticker over where the original stamping was. The reason they are doing this is simple: There is still an anti=french sentiment in the US (understandable, to me) and they know some people won't buy them if they say made in france. But this is clearly illegal, obviously a felony. My question is who do I contact about this? I doubt this is the first time they've done this kinda thing, they are pretty crooked...

Any suggestions?

blackmail?

uh oh, suggestion of fraud is a bannable offense now....
