*edit* EVERYONE, JUST PRETEND THE POLL ASKS "DOES IT HELP TO HAVE A PRICEMATCHING WINGMAN?"

I find that when I'm trying to pricematch something, it helps to have a buddy of mine there.
I think it's because otherwise I feel vulnerable or get intimidated by the managers. It seems
I'm less likely to take 'no' for an answer when I've got a friend with me.

:( Waiting for my damn pricematching wingman to wake up (it's almost 2 p.m. here!) :(

*edit* UPDATE: down a dozen posts or so...

I think it's fairly obvious that I AM, thank you very much.

Well it's not as bad as I made it sound. I don't NEED a buddy there, it just helps sometimes. Anyway, I thought I explained it,
otherwise the managers just say "No." I say "Ok." and I leave without my product. Plus, my wingman's got nice hands :Q. ;)
For the record, my vote is in the wuss option...

But seriously, thanks for your *reverse psychology* post Ameesh ;), it's helping to get me psyched to do this PM solo.

id rather have someone with me if i was pricematching. makes it less likely for me to back down. but theres no need to be an a**hole to him, just cuz he likes to pricematch with friends.

Aw don't worry I get used to it (tear the size of Texas rolls past oLLie's forced smile).
Anyway, I think I got Ameesh's post all figger'd out (see my post above).
And if he really did mean it then... I HATE MICRO$OFT! (runs)

it usually works out better alone. :)

you don't want to intimidate them... going in as a group. :)

Agreed, people tend to go on the defensive when you intimidate them as a group. It's better just to reason with them...

UPDATE POST (sorry, it's gonna come across as a brag and moan)

Two words: it worked. (crappy picture taken with my free webcam)

5 (monitors) * $130 (Pricematch to $150, minus $30 off 150 coupon) = $650 - $750 (Mail in Rebates) = $100 profit and five 15" monitors with built in JBL speakers.
Here's the thread in Hot Deals (my post is down towards the bottom)

Credit goes to chrisjor for really helping me get the deal
also to my PM wingman beefjurky.
Best deal I've ever gotten, I'm happy :).

*edit* I guess I'm a real bastard for getting 5 , but I had to make the hour and a half drive worth it somehow. Plus, I'm hoping to use them in building some cheap computers for a few friends who are unfortunate and computer-less.
