You should consider the 19in LCD from Planar if you are buying from Dell. I own the 17.4in model. It has excellent image quality and very little ghosting.
ok...palyed a round of CS and i dont know if its my video card or the monitor......maybe i am being to critical because i am consciously checking for something that "might" be wrong.

For gaming it would be nice if you have an video card with a DVI plug. (Digital Plug) I am thinking that the Screens are true digital. This raised the issue of what setting you plan on playing games at?
Make sure the Digital monitor has a setting for the option you plan to play the game at. LCD's have to adjust to an approximation of a true size when they don't have the set number of pixels to draw the screen. If you plan on playing games at 600 X 800 or whatever buy a flat screen with that option. Look at the plugs on the flat panel before you buy it to see what kind of plug it uses. A DVI plug has both Digital and analog connections(pins). It would be dumb to have to use an adapter plug to go from digital to analog and back to digital, because your video card did not have a DVI plug. Anandtech had an article on this.
If you do buy a DVI card to support your LCD, be sure to check for support of 1600x1200 resolution. Many DVI cards are limited to 1280x1024. I'm sure others can give suggestions as to which cards do actually support that res.
