I updated my bios from 1008.01b to 1009.01b i flashed the memory... all seemed to go well.. like a normal flash would go...

as soon as i restart my computer my monitor goes on standby mode... but the normal harddive sounds and memory checker are all there...

it just has a blank screen.... wtf... man i dont' want to buy another new comp... i still have to replace the abit Ka7-100 that went bad on me a month ago on my bro's computer.... :|

I took all the drives out, all the other cards out.. just left the video card and cpu... but still no response... I dont' think it is a problem with my drives...

anyone else had problems with the new update flash for the A7V

also when you have a bad bios update like what just occured to me... what do i do???

Have you tried resetting the bios with the jumper, or solder nodes? Remember to remove power when doing this. When you say everything is making it's normal noises, can you watch the HD LED flash on and off like its doing accesses then from memory do the keyboard strokes to shut your system down and it shuts down? Do you have access to an EPROM programmer?

I get nothing from my monitor... no signal what-so-ever... i am reading the manual right now.. and trying to find out how to reset the bios but doesn't look like there is anything there... the closest thing i get is erasing the CMOS...

man.. i think i am screwed...

if you can't find the correct points to short in the manual then disconnect the power supply & temporarily remove the m/board battery to reset the bios to default values!

erasing the cmos is probably it.

Is that Corvallis, Oregon or Corvallis, Montana?

Just use a jumper to reset the cmos. That's prolly your problem. I encounter that with all the newly released bios that I flash to all the time.

Try connecting the two solder points as the A7V does not have a jumper to reset the CMOS. If all else fails you can PM ZZZZZZ( Robert) and see if he can re-flash the bios chip for you. He does great work and it is cheap! :D
