I bought some ink for a printer but it doesn't work cuz my printer is dead. I opened one of the cartridges. Can I still return it for refund? I have receipt and everything required. Thanks.

*UPDATE*
So I went in, wanted to return it cuz I said it wouldn't work with my printer. Return lady says no return cuz I opened it up already and I can only get the exact same item. I said sure. I thought they were gonna open it up and give it to me in the condition I returned it (like software so you can't return it later), but it turned out she just exchanged it for a brand new one. Wouldn't they think they I could just go to another store and return the brand spanking new one they gave me? Maybe she just didn't care, but why not just return it for me then? Maybe they want me to run around town just trying to return some ink. Yay! Thanks fore reading. 🙂

Since it is opened you would be able to return it for the same product. if you beg and pleed you MAY be able to get store credit, but you will need a nice manager.

That's what I would say. It is no longer in a saleable condition, so unless it is defective and you were looking for a replacement, they won't take it as a return. A nice manager might give store credit to keep you as a customer if you explain the situation and act nice.

at staples we would take it back, but with BB, its really YMMV... if your clearly explain the situation you might be able to get a refund.. it really depends on the employee working
