My new dental hygienist suggested it in addition to flossing. I might try it.

Surprise?

Surprise ? it's Listerine® Antiseptic.
Most people don't floss as well or as often as they should because it takes time and it's difficult. If only there were an easy way to fight the plaque you miss when you don't floss properly.

Now there's proof that a quick 30-second rinse with Listerine® Antiseptic, twice a day, is an easy way to take better care of your mouth.

Two recent clinical studies prove Listerine® Antiseptic is as effective as flossing at fighting plaque and gingivitis between teeth. That's because Listerine® Antiseptic gets between teeth to kill the germs that cause plaque and gingivitis.

The problem is that our livers are actually assholes.

Finally!

The sound like commercial in me does. Perhaps, that it works, but as for me scale it is better, you like. As for Listerine because of me, and murder power isn' of the bacterium which it is related with the taste automatically; Really it is in other mediciny of taste.

The yellow gold Listerine is unbearable. Some of the other flavors are not that bad. But who uses it for a full 30 seconds? It burns after a while

You're just a puss. 😀

Edit-And a noob. 😛

i asked my buddy who works for Pfizer (Listerine) what the difference really is between that and the generic stuff... he says nothing except the QA/testing to ensure it works properly.

Is that enough reason to go generic ? Hmmm....

Yes. What's funny is my dentist has some other mouthwash he uses in the office. I asked why and it's because most people hate listerine, so he uses stuff that's basically flavoured water.

Wow, WTF does that say? Drinking Listerine is not good, M'kay?

That doesn't mean u should not floss at all. There are studies saying that listerine can cause oral cancer. So use it with moderation. Also, don't assume that u can skip brushing your teeth if u use it

Good stuff. You have to build up a tolerence to it. It burns like the dickens at first! The citrus flavor is good. Good taste and not as intense.

I could never stomach the taste of Listerine, it was always too strong for me, regardless of the flavor. Usually only floss before dental appointments, but I brush 3 times a day. Usually gets an odd look when I'm in the bathroom at work after lunch break brushing my teeth.
