added 7 comps to the herd today! these are 24 hour comps and will work 24/7. how long has anyone run win98se without rebooting...keep in mind the comps are just sitting there running rc5.

still need an alpha for the flip chip in my room....

If all the machines have access to the net, you can just set them up normally. =)

No need to make it complicated... unless you want to. =P

You can either install it with no screen output, or you can install it as a service.

To install hidden, you can set the "Disable all screen output = yes"

To install as a service, stop the client(after it is all configured) and then from a command line(MS-Dos Prompt)

dnetc.exe -install (installs it as a Win9x service)

dnetc.exe -svcstart (starts the previously installed service)

That's about it. Not too hard.. right? =)

UTC stands for Universal Time Code. It's a standard code from which you can derive your local time.

Can somebody convert this time to GMT (or Greenwich Mean Time).
The conversion will be a lot easier for a lot of people then (me for example). 😀

I've been running Win98SE for.... lemme check. Well over 3 months w/o a blue screen & only 1 restart a week on average.

I've been running WinME for about a month & a half w/o problem. Cept on one machine, with the DDR 🙂 Lil' bastard. Anywho, they run games, internet, get used a bit here and there, but mostly they just heat up my room whilest they crack.

nice...those comps will just warm that particular room. hopefully we never have to reboot. but windows will shut them down. or else you'll never upgrade. that's the trick to making money.

Great BiggieN!🙂 I have had 98 running for months at a time with no problems, but results vary. I recommend you update the BaGeber's out of it and let it rip till when ever. Additionally, installing it as a service is best t (will keep the cow out of the task bar). Do these PC's go to a logon screen? You will want to install it as a service if that's the case. I've been told that the client keeps cracking even when logged out if it is installed as a service. I still have some testing to do concerning that issue, there may be times it does not run logged-off like on a boot-up from being powered off or with older clients (not exactly sure on it all as I had a problem and have not tracked it down yet).

Good luck!🙂
