He was being a punk kid (as HS freshmen are wont to do) and the guy went into his garage, came out with a shotgun and blew my friend away right in the street.

So sorry to hear about the loss of your friend! I can't even imagine how bad it would feel to lose a friend like that. Stay strong and you'll get through all of this. Just give yourself time to deal with everything.

Hugs to you!

Sorry to hear about this... hope you can cope well...

I swear this is a story straight out of "E.R."... I've been watching every episode from the beginning and now up to season 6. The victims always end up being someone "you" know.

Dear God, Dr. Noobie, I am truly sorry. That is indeed a horrible event. Know that you did everything you could for him.

I assume so, I haven't been back to the hospital to ask him, but he was like a machine while working on him. I've never seen anyone that smooth and fast.

Maybe that is why he was working so hard?

Holy...

Man, I'm sorry about your loss. It is terrible to see someone with great potential and with much more to give to society pass away so soon.

:(

I hope the shooter is caught and locked up for the rest of his/her natural life.

wow. That is the saddest thing I've heard in my life. Hats off to you for dealing with it like you have. I'm sorry for your loss. Try to find something fun to do to help cheer yourself up. It's not going to be that much fun, but at least you can smile a bit in this horrible time. I'm sure your friend would have wanted you to have a good time, even though he is gone.
