Upcoming Modern Warfare 2 Map Pack Priced at $15

that is pretty lame

at that price they should have added every single map from CoD 4 and at least 5 new ones.

Sad fact is I'll probably still purchase it because I've put in well over a hundred hours into this game already.

LOL, I was going to wait and see how the "content pack" was before I decided to sell MW2 but 3 new maps, no prestige rewards, no spec-ops addons, and 2 maps that I've played for years... for $15... SUP EBAY!?

Yah it sucks, but odds are it'll still be a #1 seller. I know I'll probably be buying it, because the amount of time I put into the game will be great.

Kind of bummed myself. If it included a few new modes or added something to spec ops id be down. but for just 5 maps i dont know. Even with the current maps i rarely get the maps i like and usually end up on ones i hate (estate and wasteland). It doesnt seem hard to implement a say "FFA City" mode thats just city maps

Yeah... not that I had to buy this map pack anyway but I'm even more happy I didn't waste my time with MW2 online. I rented it from Gamefly, finished the "wannabe epic" single player in a couple of days and mailed it back. Yawn.

So uhh... how's MAG and or BF:BC2?

I understand that Activision is a publicly held company and their primary goal is to make money, but they are completely transparent in the way they want every dime a gamer has. That just grates on my last nerve. More power to them though.

stupid as shit. i am not getting it.

you do know if this sells well(and it will)

$15 could become the new standard for map addons.

back in halo2 is was 5 now the standard is 10.. soon it will be 15

free on pc i assume?

I spend plenty of money on games, but $15 is ridiculous.....thats a quarter of the price we payed for the FULL game. Fuck Activision for being greedy.

That's it, I'm done with this game. I enjoyed it for a couple months but I haven't played it in a while. It's going to eBay/Amazon sometime this week. Oh well, at least I enjoyed it for a while.

Sell it for BC2. That's what I did. Don't miss MW2 in the least.

$5 would have been reasonable. $15 is just fucking ridiculous. No shame at all.

I guess it's not a complete shock. The CoD4 map pack was $10 for 4 maps (one of which I never even got to play and I'm not convinced it actually exists), so I could see why people would expect this to be $10 since two of the maps required very little work.

On the other hand, $10 for 3 maps is standard for Halo, and I guess you could argue that the other two are worth $5 together.

Unless they're really awesome maps I don't think I'll buy them anytime soon.

I was waiting for this map pack for a while, but now I'm just glad I sold my copy of MW2.

I mean, its not that I wouldn't have paid the $15 for the maps, it's more of the principle.

Regardless, this map pack will sell well, it'll eventually be hard to find a game that doesn't use the map pack. (On a sidenote, anyone ever tried playing a MP game in CODWAW without the map packs? Nearly impossible.)

The CoD4 map pack was only free on PC because of Nvidia sponsorship. Doesn't seem like they want to do that again.

I was pretty dissapointed. I've stopped playing because the maps were too repetitive. I kept the game because my roommate plays it a lot now, but i was hoping a good map pack might get me interested again. $15 bucks for 5 maps....that isn't good enough. They are looking for just the hardcore people

My suggestion. Sell it/trade it in and get BFBC2.

Pretty sad that Activision has made EA games preferable.

I disagree. The price of DLC doesn't make BFBC2 more preferred over MW2, unless you preferred BC2 in the first place. BC2 has no DLC maps yet afaik so it's not comparing the same thing. I still like MW2 more because I prefer infantry combat over vehicle stuff.

Not talking about just this one instance. It's just another in a pile of heaping questionable decisions from Activision.

No chance in hell I'm paying 15 bucks for a set of rehashed maps. After hearing this today it was the deciding factor that I sold my copy of MW2 since I've lost interest in the game anyways, especially since BFBC2 came out.
