Personally I'm interested in Tera, Guild Wars 2, and Blade and Soul.

I'm probably most interested in Blade and Soul. But, thats because I think a game based around kung fu would be awesome.

But, since I know very little about the actual mechanics of the game, nor have I heard any peep about it actually getting released here, much less it being released anytime in the next 10 years if so, I'm not exactly holding my breath.

Plus, I haven't seen much interest in the game from just about anyone. Add in the fact its a Korean game, so will most likely have the Korean grind most people (including me) love to hate, I don't particularly like its chances 😀

These are the three I'm interested also. They seem to be the most technically advanced by far. The art and combat mechanics in Blade & Soul are absolutely mind-blowing.

so all those games suck? PvP attracts basement-dwelling clowns. It's the worst kind of play experience. Co-OP PvE is great. Or team-based PvP.

I can play first person shooters for team-based PvP. Open world PvP is what's needed for MMOs.

Of course, when the gaming companies all seem to allow level 50s to attack level 10s, it's no wonder people think this.

Yep the one I'm more interested in,glad its Sci-Fi rather then another WoW clone(nothing against them, just too many of them).

You speak as if "sci-fi" and "wow clone" were mutually exclusive. SW TOR 🙁

With that said, I can't wait to see how Planetside turns out and I'll probably give Firefall a try too. From what I could find out it's a third person shooter. I hate third person games of any kind...I always play both my shooters and MMO RPGs in first person...

Actually been waiting for a decent Sci-fi MMORPG, I played SWTOR and I quit the game, don't get me started on why, anyway lets just say below my expectations.

Not only is that cumbersome as all get out, you're missing the look of all the items, gear, and a large chunk of the world.

Just an FYI guys, GW2 will flop like GW1. 😛

Wakfu is an MMO coming out at the end of this month that deserves a bit more hype. Despite the graphics, it's probably the most hardcore MMO I've played, with fully open PvP and a completely player driven economy and ecosystem. If you have a strong enough group of friends, you can literally monopolize all of a particular resource or lock down a city. The economy is also very deep, with everything being craft-able and many things being growable so you can farm it yourself. You can even mint your own gold.

If I wasn't so busy with real world stuff, I'd definitely be subbing. I played the closed beta for a while and it was a tremendous time sink.

For me, 3rd person is cumbersome, I just can't take it.

How exactly do I miss large a chunk of the world? I get it about not seeing my gear look though. Can always zoom out while standing in non combat areas chatting for that...

If you want a game where there are big consequences to losing a PvP fight and where players control and defend resources, then Eve Online is the only one that I know. I played it for over 5 years (let my accounts expire recently). It has a lot of problems, but the economy is almost 100% player run and the instant you undock anywhere, you are a potential target.

Im a sucker for games like Final Fantasty Tactic... and this is that, and the 2D sprites look really nice.
Just watched the MMOhut review of it, and it made me want to play it.
