upcoming home project

looks like i will be busy this summer. going to redo the basement:

area is about 500 sp feet.

1) take out paneling and hanging ceiling
2) redo circuits
3) install gas insert into wood burning fireplace
4) drywall
5) install recessed lighting
6) redo fireplace aestetics, cover with slate tile and new mantle
7) install a 3/4 or full bath (plumber will rough out the plumbing)
8) install flooring; prego style around landing area and fireplace, carpet on entertainment and study/play/guest room.
9) build a bar for homebrew

opinions? advice?

LoL ... I'm having some trouble visualizing this ... you want swollen, cranky flooring that only lasts 9 months??

why would you think that would happen?

installed correctly and the floor has room to expand.
