Up voltage on 2500 mobile on gigabyte ga-7n400 pro2 rev 2.0

Allright, i really need some help in raising the voltage on my cpu. I have a gigabyte ga-7n400 pro2 rev 2.0 with a mobile XP 2500. Running prime stable at 210x11@1.7 vcore. The board only overvolts up to +10%, meaning 1.45 v * 1.1 = 1.6 v. Why i get 1.7 i don't know, all monitoring programs tell me the same. I heard my board overvolts a bit. But i really want to go higher!

Can anyone help me in rasing the voltage on my cpu? Also, max vdimm is +0.2 v, but also overvolted 0.1 v seems like. So far my experiences with this board are no good at all...

Sounds like you're gonna need a voltmod or else hacked drivers.

Actually, I think there is also a wire trick that may work for you.

Good idea with the wire trick! I'll try it when i get back from vacation, leaving tomorrow. thanks sickbeast!

btw, i've searched all over for a vmod or alternate bios to change voltages with no luck. Is it difficult to figure out my own vmod?

Figuring out your own vmod is definately not reccomended. You can either do the wire trick or else modify your CPU bridges. I would try the wire trick and set the default to 1.75v or so.
