Got an email from compusa saying things will be on sale for three days and they will be up to 80% off. This is in store only. Might want to drop by your compusa to see whats on sale. I`ll probably stop by just to browse. I`m not expecting much but who knows something you want might be on sale.

Here is the pic in the email.

Edit: Seems to be a huge YMMV deal.

Desktops for $199.99 and notebooks for $499.99 sounds promising, I'll check it out.

really, deceptive advertisment... bastards

I think a lot of retailers charge the 15% restocking fee, it's just that compusa does it to EVERYTHING. so if you get any component or anything, they charge it, which sucks. Most places just do it with really inconvinient items.

I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but I read over at AVSFORUM that CompUSA is going to be closing out most of their Plasma/LCD/RPTV at cost.

..but getting an any apple computer for 500 is very cheap. I thought their cheapest computer they sold was 800-900. If this is true then this is a hot deal for apples.

most retailers that have a 15% restocking fee have it on items that should..ie notebooks, digital camera etc...but not on little items

I just refuse to buy anything there anymore....I had a good store manager in Melbourne, FL but moved away

otherwise I just refuse to buy anything....I have had problems and I feel if I pay retail and I have an issue I do not want ot give them 15% to take it back..I would rather avoid them like the plague..I am surprised people put up with this..CC at this policy and had to get rid of it

thanks for the heads up - I just checked my inbox and had the same e-mail. No clue what they'll have on sale, but I might leave early and check it out tommorow morning. I'd love to be able to snag a cheap harddrive or two; I could use the space.

What else would they charge restocking fee for if not for return? I'm pretty sure everybody else also knows this fact.

From the vauge ad I have a feeling this is a "clear out old junk to make room for better holiday sales" sale.

My store had no laptops under $1199, no desktops under $299, no digital camcorders, and 2 tvs marked down a whole $20 from regular price. Mgr said that they had that flyer, too, but theirs didn't have any prices on it so those prices must apply elsewhere. Yeah, whatever.

I got this stupid email and that's really what it is - stupid. None of these deals actually exist. This makes me furious!!! I was never a fan of Compusa, and this certainly isn't helping.
