But Mike Rowe of Discovery's Dirty Jobs used a shovel as he was navigating an 800,000-gallon liquid manure pond to remove sticks so they won't clog up the pump. That cow poo episode I just watched was even better than the shark autopsy he did recently and mouldy house cleaning from a few weeks ago.

This guy has cajones grande to do some of the stuff on the program for our enlightenment and entertainment.

i always feel sorry for the dude because after every show he is begging people to send in ideas or he will get canceled.

 Yup, it's kinda sad.

It's also sad to see how they try to make every job seem dirtier than it really is (i.e. how he has gunk on his face in every single episode. Maybe it's from previous episodes and he never washed it off...).

He seems like a pretty cool guy.

I've seen Q&As with him. People asking him if he really does get that dirty, why he doesn't wear a face mask when doing certain things, etc.

He said it doesn't really bother him. He's not married and no kids so breathing in toxic fumes doesn't bother him much :p

Another asked what his job before Dirty Jobs was. He was an Opera singer (really). Then another question asked why he wasn't one anymore. He said because he wasn't any good.

Yeah, based on their TV personas it'd be great to kick back with some good food & beer with Alton Brown & Mike Rowe.

He does a lot of voice over work as well. He's the narrator of American Chopper, American Hot Rod, and Deadliest Catch. Ive also seen him do some commercials recently as well. I bet hes making some big bucks right now.

Not only has he narrated deadliest catch, but he's also appeared on the show, only one show that I know of though.

Dirty Jobs is a great show.

Mmmm. Kari Byron. She's on the bubble of being too "hollywood" I expect the crash diet/boob job any day now.

Mike Rowe, Alton Brown and Duff Goldman be a nice poker party.

I love Dirty Jobs.
The episode with Goth termite exterminators was hilarious. Not because it was extra dirty, but because emo -goth exterminators seriously cracked me up.
Who the hell would hire guys like these? They seemed like the most incompetent bunch ever.

They did the work for free. I weep for the drywall/plaster in that building.
