Just watched Cheech and Chong's first movie again after about 10 years and I found it very entertaining. For what it was I think it was a well done though dated movie. Those guys were seriously funny for the time. Stacy Keech was funny as the head Narc and it was kind of cool seeing Tom Skerit as Cheech's cousin Strweberry. The part where that Hippy Chick snorted the Ajax had me in tears as did Cheech and Chongs band (actually Ruben and the Jets).

So much so in fact, I HAD to have it for my VHS collection!

I liked when the cop stopped them in the "POT MOBILE"

"Well, what do you guys want?"
"Hey, can I have a bite of your hot dog!?"

Cheech Marin is actually a pretty decent actor. I thought he was waht made "Nash Bridges" a half decent TV Series in spite of Don Jihnson. He was also pretty good in "Tin Cup"

I'm going to have to rent their other movies just for nostalgia sake. Man I can't remember the last time I heard an ounce of weed called a "LID"

I liked Cheech cast as a serious role on NB. His character tried to wheel and deal everything for profit. That hit home . Don Johnson as NB was the carryover from Miami Vice, complete with cool car and women just with less chain smoking. I loved it. With the ratings they were getting, I cant believe that CBS cancelled the show.

Can't discuss Cheech and Chong without mentioning those 2 classic albums Big Bambú (came with the huge rolling paper inside) and Los Cochinos (inner sleeve slid out to reveal stash inside the car door). Now I need to check and see if that movie made it to DVD yet.

Oh Red, I dont know how often you ever watched NB, but there was this one episode. vi just reminded me.

Cheech and Don are working a case. Philip Michael Thomas is one of the guys they run into. Later in the show they run into Tommy Chong too.

Cheech and Chong go into a marijuana club

Chong: So what drugs you on now?
Cheech: (after running hand over head) Uh. Rogaine.
Chong: What do you do? Snort it?

*Fast forward 1 min*

They both go into the marijuana club

Chong: Where's Dave?
Clerk @ Desk: Dave's not here.

I cracked up when I saw that.
