I am living proof anyone can create a "basic" PC. After a long time lurking and reading this forum I am FINALLY DONE! Got my new rig up and running (see bellow for the goods). This was my very first build! All in all the basics were not too bad......I spent more time wondering if I was doing it right or not, and If I got the right gear (I am sure I will always second guess) . The only thing I had to do was re-do the thermal paste on the CPU fan (goped it on the first time) and updated the BIOS...everything else went pretty smooth. I am going to wait a bit before I try to OC, and am going to work on my cable management a bit. Otherwise I am pretty happy!

Thanks to all!

Good to see you took a chance and it paid off. I think most ppl in the world could build their own computers. The hardest part is picking out the parts and making sure they are compatible. All my family comes to me for computer builds and upgrades. I don't know if its because they or to afraid of messing something up or are just lazy. I think some of them are just to lazy. My brother inlaw knows little bit about them but has never built one. He goes to Office Depot and Wal-Mart for his computers. I think hes to good to ask me to build him one or ask for suggestions on parts/upgrades :D. He just goes out and buys a new video card(usually crappy) without asking my opinion on it. He is the type who thinks is $h!t don't stink if you know what I mean.

Anyway enough of my talking :)

BTW nice build
