Because they are complete morons that can't process my credit card. In the 2 years I have had Sprint they can only get it to work 50% of the time. They keep telling me that I AM giving them the wrong billing address. They always want me to go get a statement and read the address to them. They can fvck off. I have used that card for a long time now and the only one who has every failed to process it correctly was Sprint. I use it online, out of town, and to pay other bills. The billing address is fine, their system is the problem. Secondly, they have sh!tty coverage in the Southeast compared to Cingular and Verizon. Thirdly, they oversold their 3G capability and locked ALL users out of the system until the morons there figured out how to add more bandwidth. Fourthly, the erroneous billing every month is quite irritating, as they always try to sneak some BS service on there that I never signed up for. Fifthly, their CSRs sucks and their supervisors sucks. Sixthly, they use Caribbean tech support now. They won't even let you talk, they keep cutting you off saying they need to tell you something. How are they going to tell me something if they don't know what my problem is? Is Mrs. Cleo working for the fvckers nows?
Seventhly, their website is slow, constantly down and inaccurate. Eightly, they have ONE retail store for my ENTIRE state. Do you know how packed that place gets? Thank God it is less than one mile from my house. Ninthly, they HAVE NO coverage period in ANY rural area. Tenthly they fvcking suck...

You sure they oversold the bandwidth? How long was the lock out? How long ago? What area?

Positive. They told me themselves that they oversold the bandwidth. I talked to PCS vision support for about 45 minutes and he said it was a nationwide problem, but mainly affecting high growth areas and that they didn't have an ETR. It took almost a week before I could use the Vision service again and it is still slow. Don't worry, as of August 20, my contract with Sprint is null and void.

Throw that phone in the nearest dumpster and switch. Sounds aweful. I've only used nextel cause they were around around a long time ago never a problem in 8 years and unlimited incomming for 49. Not saying nextel is best but that just sounds terrible.

My mother, my brother, and a friend of mine have had good luck with Verizon, so I plan to get them. I wouldn't mind having Nextel, but their coverage can be spotty in some areas. Lots of my friends have Nextel and say the Customer Service is superb. Cingular also has pretty great coverage in my area. I am thinking about either Nextel or Verizon, but I really think Nextel is a distant second to Verizon. They have the best nationwide network and probably the best provider in the Southeast...

 
Is verizon same as airtouch?....Heard lots of gret things about them from many many people..
