Unwanted folder loading at Startup

I have Windows XP and my computer locked up the other day. I had the "My Documents" folder open when it did and I had to do a hard reboot. Now everytime I boot up into any user account, that user's "My Documents" folder opens up. I have closed the folder and done several normal shut downs and normal logoffs, but it still pops up. In folder options, "Remember each folder's view settings" is checked and "Restore previous folder windows at logon" is unchecked, though I have tried every combination of these with no success. Can anyone help me to get rid of it? I also don't see anything out of the ordinary in the Startup tab of msconfig either.

try just deleting it . it should give you a warning that it's a system folder and can't be deleted but should offer to remove it from the desktop.........i hope
good luck

No, I don't mean that the My Documents folder itself has moved to the desktop, it opens in a window at startup. The actual folder is still located in C:\Documents and Setting\username\My Documents, it just pops open every time I start the computer or log into Windows.
