Hey eveyrone (waves at monitor lol)

I just got done putting together a new build maybe a month ago.

- I7-8700K CPU
- ASROCK Z370 Extreme4 mobo
- 32G (2 X 16) RAM
- 1080Ti GPU
- Main C drive - M.2 500G
- D Drive - (5) x 500G Samsung 850 SSD RAID'd out (where games are)
- E Drive - (3) 3TB SAS HD RAID'd out (where Macrium keeps the backup images)

It runs great............once it boots up

I've disabled IPv6, and 'Fastboot' is disabled in the BIOS. I installed 'Winearo Tweaker' and enabled 'verbose logon messages', but either it's not working, or I dont know where to find the file to look at it lol

It takes about 1:40 to boot from the POST screen to the Welcome window. If I were to guess, I would saying the SAS adapter is taking forever to spin up/assign the HD's, but since I can't see any logon/boot details, I dont know for sure.

Anybody out there in AT-land have any ideas for ole Blah-Toe?

Wipe your hard drive and start over from scratch. Reset your bios to factory settings and your boot time should be around 10 seconds with M.2 until you see the Windows 10 boot screen. Windows 7 is around 20 seconds or less. What is your OS?

Yes a SAS card usually adds a bit of time to POST. anywhere from 30-45 seconds to longer.
What you can do is pull the SAS card for a few boots and see how long it takes.

Usually once you see the Win logo it should be fairly quick with or without a SAS card

Good idea Dahak. I forgot to mention it's Win10.
I'll give that a shot and see what happens :)
