Unusual Situation...

recently went from 1 gig to 2 gig of ram with my winnie 3500. I am running a bfg 6800 ultra. I have noticed, and it only happens with halo (mutliplayer) that after a few minutes into the game, I lose control of my movement (I continue to move, can't stop it) and then it blacks out. I have to click on the icon in the tray to get it back up and running and it doesn't happen anymore after the initial incident. Really weird. Son plays CS and it doesn't happen so I was thinking maybe it was a Halo, server isssue.

Prior to my changing out the ram it never happened before...

Any thoughts?

thanks

Well, if it was my system, I would remove the ram you put in there and try it again. If it does not happen, then you can be sure that something with the ram is causing it. The next step is to run mem checker on it and have it run through all the memory several times. If it fails the test, well, you have the answer. Now, if removing the ram does not fix the problem, then, well... You have to look elsewhere.

Hope this helps...

Edit ** Additionally, if your ram is causing the problem, you may want to try and relax the memory settings. Go to something more conversative....
