unsucessful Netscape 6.0 install in Mandrake 7.2 and Red hat 7.0

Anybody was able to install Netscape 6.0 sucessfully in Mandrake 7.2 or Red Hat 7.0? Every single time I run ./netscape-installer, I am able to do my custom setup (tried the recommended and full install, no different) then then it would download the first part then the program would hang. Once or twice I was able to download the first 4 parts then the darn thing hung again.

Maybe I'm doing it wrong. This is how I've been doing it. Open my home drive -- click on netscape-installer -- open terminal -- now I'm in the netscape-installer directory, I type ./netscape-installer -- this launches the netscape setup -- I change the install directory to /usr/share/netscape.

I tried with the root account and that didn't make a different. Keeping it at the default directory, /usr/local/netscape, did not help.

Any clue how to install Netscape 6.0 other than don't install it cuz it's sh*t? At least I got my true type fonts installed so my Netscape 4.75 looks fine now.

I run into the same problem as yourself. Just use the newest point release of Mozilla and things should work out swell.

I troubleshot this for a while, though, admittedly, I am no Linux guru by any means. I tried turning off every feature so that I would just install the browser, but it hung for me as well. Sucks. Again, Mozilla worked like a charm.
