unstoppable virus?

so i heard something on the local tv news blurb the other day about some unstoppable virus. anyone know what it is, or is it something stupid that only idiots need to worry about?

There's no such thing as unstoppable. Mainstream news generally isn't a good source for tech reporting.

I could envision a local (or even national) news station calling a 0day vulnerability an "unstoppable virus" based on there not being a fix or prevention mechanism available.
