Alright I have an saphire x800 pro vivo AGP and it isnt flashed, overclocked or anything and im running the 5.7 drivers. I cannot get through more than about 15 seconds of any 3d game without the card completely locking up my rig.

But, if i use ATItool i can scan for artifacts forever and not get anything...do any of you guys have any ideas? here is some system info if its pertinent.

x800 pro vivo (stock everything)
xp 2000+
AGP 4x
the card reaches about 76 degrees at its maximum maybe 77C says ATITool.

I would really appreciate any help, thanks guys.

1) download "driver cleaner"
2) do the typical windows "uninstall" in "add/remove programs" for all ati and nv video drivers/utilities
3) run driver cleaner and kill all nv and ati(options in pulldown menu)
4) install 5.7's again

-you may also want to try turning off "fast writes" in the video options. Ive heard of that causing stability problems with certian peoples' systems in the past though i have never experianced any myself
-Also you may want to update your chipset drivers. Those can cause weired problems that you would blame on other pieces of hardware.

If the driver cleansing doesn't help, I'd swap back to your old power supply. I haven't heard of "Hercules," and am assuming that it's an off-brand.

I ran an XP3200+, 1 gig ram, 2 hdd's, 2 opticals, and a heavily overclocked x800pro on a 350w antec PSU. That Enermax is probably of similar quality.
