Hi

What should I do to achieve best stability on my faulty:| ram modules?
I purchased a pair 2x512MB of khx3200ulk2/1g (or similar) ram modules along with my other componets and put up my new system. When I tried to install xp on it I got that nasty IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL_SHIT but I managed to get it installed by disabling things from bios.

When I got it done, I found out that its prolly caused by bad ram, so I tested it with memtest86 and got 207 errors on pass 0 (mostly on test #6 and #8)... it was running 2-2-2-5 (SPD) and 1T. htt:201mhz(stock), 1:1.

After that I relaxed timings to 2,5-3-3-7 and it hasnt crashed since. Nevertheless errors still occur. Is there a magic trick? Or did that timing adjustment do it? RMA process will get messy...

Hopefully they are compatible with my mobo: MSI Neo4 Platinum
And my PSU (Nexus NX-4090)is sufficient for 2 HDD, 2 optic, 6800gt, 3500+, audigy2

Bottom line: I want to run my system, how should I do it?

Thanks

Try cas 2-3-2-5.....great article on how with the AMD systems you need to run TRCD 1 notch higher then rated...Also raise the vdimm.....

I would try cas 2-3-2-5 then perhaps 2-3-3-6 to 2-3-3-8 then go ahead and try 2-4-3-10...i wouln'd go higher then that as it is probably quite comparable to the 2.5-3-3-7....

Vdimm:2,7 (is that and is rated for that)
2-2-2-5
Its TCCD so is voltage the key?
Should the errors in memtest disappear when stability is achieved?

At least on the 0th pass....
