Unstable System? HELPPPP!!!!!!! [UPDATED INFO]

i just added a 700e with Alpha PEP66 (without FAn) to my system as well as 128 MB Tiny BGA RAM. i am NOT OVERCLOCKING the cpu or the RAM

SANDRA says that cpu temp is around 50-53 C or 122-125F.while MBM5 (motherboard Monitor) and bios hardware monitor show cpu temp of about 33C. Phyisically i can touch the HS with out burning my hand or even feeling too uncomfortible. so may be sandra is wrong? is the temp too hot?

Also my system is crashing allover the place. i cant play more than 5 min of Counterstrike before i am dumped to Desktop (no error shows). or i get continuous errors in internet explorer as shown in one of the subsequent posts by me in this thread.

can any one help me?

i have adjusted Bios settings for RAM to lowest possible (CAS3, 100MHz, Normal DRAM timing) to improve stability, No Luck.

well it seem to have cooled some what. i dont know why but its almost luke warm to touch .

Make sure you have very good contact between the CPU and the heatsink. You said there was a wire between the HS and the CPU?! That´s not good at all, there should be nothing between the two (except for some thermal paste). Also you might be able to run the CPU without a fan, just don´t overclock it too much, and if it starts too crash you might know whats wrong.

this is the fourth time i am attempting to post. it crashed/locked last 3 timesss.

no there is no wires between the HS and CPU. the wires are touching out side if the CPU and HS assembly. and HS is pressed tight to the CPU because of teh click that came with the HS. also the CPU has cooled a lot.but every thing continuse to crash left right and center :|:|:|

i am beginning to think it may have some thing to do with windows as there was a registry error 30 min ago and it redid registry using some back up but i dont know

how about get a heatsink that you can use on your motherboard? heh

again. heat no longer seems to be the problem as the temp is not going over 33C anymore. and its pretty lukewarm to touch as well.

some thing else is the matter. are there any diagnostic tools to check hardware conflicts?? or even setup problems? or generally find cause of system instability?
