Unstable older system

Fix, Upgrade, Trash, Replace, OC?
Unstable. Often crashes while browsing. I often run a game windowed on one monitor and surf/work on the other. First internet goes dead, then browser "Not responding" then all programs "Not responding". Only mouse continues to work 🙂
Boinc screen saver (for example) will crash system 50% of the time when system is reactivated.

OC seems quite unstable. Happy to take advice on XMP OC settings.

Asus p6t x58
I7 920 @ 2.67GHz (Bloomfield)
Windows 7 64
3x2GB DDR3 Kingston (PC3-10700H) (9-9-9-24-59-1T)
Nvidia GeForce GTX 650 Ti 2MB
1x120GB SSD (boot) (Intel SSDSC2CT120A3)
2x1TB RAID 0 (storage) (Samsung HD103SJ)
1x1TB (back up) (Samsung HD103SJ)

removed OC.
full virus and malware checks with nothing found
full chkdsk scans of all drives
full ram check.
all good. temperatures fine.
SSD is 62/111 GB used.

only 1 month old, completely clean install of Win7 64.
removed the Raid 0 drives, all works the same but of course no programs installed then.
Just to clarify the original post, I have been running w/o OC for a long time because it was unstable.

Bear in mind that Windows / some AV programs will kick in when the screen saver activates (and/or when the screen goes off) and start doing things in the background.

How does the system handle half an hour of Prime95?

started prime-95
What an idiot I am. pulled off the fan attached to the cpu cooler and in behind it was a mess. Temps hit 98C within 2 minutes.
simple clean up, Prime-95 now running 40 minutes, max cpu temp 60C

nope. still crashes regularly. Tried to delete and redo Chrome profile, but that didn't work either. sometimes get "accessing cache" in chrome and then crash.

Literally _no_ programs? Do you mean to say that all applications are installed on the HDDs, not the SSD?

practically all except windows. Trying to keep it available as fast boot disk.

I don't understand. What do you mean "available"? You should need just a small portion of a 111GB SSD for Windows itself.

In the system I'm on right now I have a 128GB system SSD (net 119GB of space) with Win7 Pro 64-bit, MS Office and every one of my applications, all application data, download directories, page file, temp files, and it consumes just 40GB of the SSD.

Since you state it is an older system then a simpler solution might be the fix if you really think nothing is wrong with it like with no virus and nothing now is out of spec.

You could try and just reapply heat sink compound to the cpu and cleans he GPU fan if dusty.

FYI, changed to 2R (somehow it's not 2T or I'm looking at something different) and upped the CPU & VRAM to 1.33750 and all stable for a day now.
Prime95 hits 62C
