I've just set up a secondary computer at work using the Microstar MS-5169 SS7 mobo, 128 generic PC100, K6-2 500.
The problem is that setting the FSB to the intended 100Mhz results in massive BSOD in win98 - as do 95FSB. I have to lower the FSB to 83 to get it stable, and as the mobo only supports up to 5.5 multiplier it means im stuck with 5.5*83=465Mhz, witch is kinda' depressing considering it's a 500 Mhz CPU.
I've used the RAM in my BX system at home running 110 FSB without any problems. I've upgraded to the latest bios and tried every setting combination there is, installed latest drivers, AND I'm using a PCI videovard.
Has anyone experienced similar unstability, and did you find a solution?
