LOS ANGELES (AP) - Robert Stack, whose granite-eyed stare and menacing baritone spelled trouble for television's fictional criminals in "The Untouchables" and real ones in "Unsolved Mysteries," died at his home. He was 84.

Noooo, I love Unsolved Mysteries. 🙁

i read about it earlier--sad 🙁 atsang is right...that combo of music & his voice on unsolved mysteries was scary. i bet if he were to read aloud some edgar allen poe that it would've been just bone-chilling!!!

Anyway - his best role was as the FBI Detective in "Beavis and Butthead Do America" - "I want a cavity search on this one - deep and long."

Damn. Unsolved Mysteries was scary. I could never turn the lights out and be in the room alone with that creepy music on.

It was scary. There was one episode that came on when I was a kid that was nothing but ghost stories. I made it halfway through the episode and was too scared to ever see the end.

Does this mean the Stack is decked? :Q

He was a good actor, and Hollywood legend says he was a good guy. Sorry, I couldn't resist the word play.

I don't care what any link says...there's no way he was 84...he looked like he was in his 50's, maybe...
