These are the hardest questions to solve. When there is a government anywhere that fails to deliver a decent economy to all their population, individual economic and religious blocks within a country start to compete to get the lions share of a falling tide. Add in a population divided by religion, and the problem gets explosive in short order.

The last time in happened in the same area, Christianity did not exactly compile a record of a religion of peace. Its why I am a proud atheist, us atheists find no damn reason to hate anyone on the basis of religion. Because as soon as anyone thinks they are the best religion, the right to cheerfully murder those with the wrong religion immediately follows.

Hopefully one day this will all become clear to you. I'm not holding my breath, though ;)

And you clearly don't comprehend what religion is at its most fundamental level.

Being extremely nationalistic and supporting genocide are not quite the same. And from what I've seen and heard from Serbs most are far more nationalistic than even the Tea Party members in the USA are. Most think they were only victims in the Yugoslavian war, and will get extremely offensive when you remind them of the atrocities committed by many Serbs and ordered by their leaders at that time. Many of which are still seen as heros.

NATO should've carpet bombed Belgrade, lols.
