I am having a heck of a time getting this machine going.
I have been getting an error that goes something like this.....Window fault protection error....
which has been keeping the machine from booting... it will boot into safemode.
but this last error was ......Error: HIMEM.SYS has detected unreliable XMS memory at address 00669844
XMS driver not installed.. to con tiure starting your computer , press ENTER.

Is this telling me I have a bad stick of memory ro is XMS memory a swap type memory IE refering to my harddrive/

XMS is the memory handling system for all of the physical memory above the 1MB boundary. Sounds like you have a bad stick of RAM but could just be corrosion. Try pulling your memory out and reseating it. Also if you have more than one stick of RAM in there, try using one stick at a time to figure out which is the bad one.
