Unrel Tournement 2005?

Any one heard info on ut2k5? I was just wondering since Unreal Championship 2 is being so hyped by Xbox users. Is epic foucusing on that rather than getting a new UT out in the next few months?

IIRC all that has been said is that there "will be another Unreal Tournament game" and it will be using Unreal Engine 3.0

I wouldn't expect it before '07. I think multiplayer on UE3 would tear hardware wide open before then. We need NV60s and r620s to put bazillions of UE3 characters, vehicles, explosions, etc onscreen at once.

Considering NV40 runs 2 - 3 characters with no background detail at around 30 FPS...

Darnit, that means another upgrade before I play it.

Thats what i thought. since it will be useing the ridicuously powerful UE3 it will take alot longer to make than 2k3 and 2k4. but i guess it doesnt matter because ill be playin 2k4 for a long, long time

There is no UT2k5 and neither will there be.

I think thier next game wont be of the U universe . from what been said look for an RPG/FPS type game using the U3 engine ... but this is all speculation from Epic's hints.
