I have a problem upgrading unrealtournament.....

a few days ago I wanted to play multiplayer games on unrealtournament, it displayed a message telling me that i need to upgrade my version of tourament(i have v4.05), so i went d/l a patch, I believed that's the patch for version 2x.... so i went back and look for version 4x, finally i found a 436 patch, so i downloaded it and ran it. It asked me to insert the unreal tournament cd into the cdrom, so i did(btw, the cd is not really "legally" bought, if ya know what i mean 😉). But it said "the expected version of UnrealTournament file system/botpack.u was not found on the cd-rom drive. Please verify the proper cd is in the drive". Do they perform cd check?!?! or i have the wrong patch. Please help... 😱

Uninstall the game, then reinstall it and make sure you are installing the proper driver updates. It should work! Hope this is helpfull!
 
doh, well..... this friend of mine put the files into winzip, and he didn't include setup.exe... so i can't really properly install the game. I guess i need the setup.exe.... thx anyways🙂
