I visit the For Sale trade fourms alot. It really irks me when some of these unreasonable traders list their used items for more than what they cost brand new and will not negotiate, nor lower the price. Yet no one buys them, and the replies are past 100....r these people just stupid or what?

i understand that, but after 100 "bumps" and no sales...you would think reason would pop into their head

When your thread hits page 4 after 30 to 40 minutes then I can see someone bumping their thread every 4 hours for visibility.

Show me a thread with a hundred bumps from someone. I think you're over exagerating a little. Or am I?

maybe people update their thread so they have only a few threads going, instead of starting a new one every 2 weeks..

Exactly there are enough people that bitch about consolidating threads together. People often times just update their old thread with new for sale items and bump it up rather than make a new thread.

I usually clear my threads or I dont bump threads if i put up new items, and revive them once the new item i listed sells.

If you don't like their price, don't buy it. It's that simple.

They have every right to charge what they like, and you have every righrt to not buy their item.

The fact remains that they MUST be getting that, or they would lower their price.

Your anger should lie with the idiots that pay that much, not the smart folks who charge that much and get it.

I dont buy much from online traders.. and this is why.

The formula that I use to calculate a used items worth..
50% of cost new... and thats only if its in mint shape.

I do buy used stuff sometime.... but only under those terms.

thats pretty similar to what i do - since if i put up the item for sale i actually want someone to buy it in a short amount of time

That's what he's complaining about. No one is buying the stuff, but the thread keeps going, and going, and going . . . .
