Unreal vs. Unreal Tournament

Is it possible to get a patch to go from Unreal to Unreal Tournament? Or are they totally separate? I have Unreal, but to get Unreal Tournament do I have to buy it separately?

Completely different games. Whip out your paypal and search the FT/FT forum - usually plenty for sale there...

latest unreal patch uses UT style interface i belive. however, engines are still vastly different, OGL on unreal is subpar, unfortunately.

eh, I like UT but thought Unreal was kinda lame/weak...

ut is basically upgraded versino of unreal engine.. which is why it runs so well on old 3dfx cards ut is multiplayer, unreal was for one player

Aiyah, Unreal does have an option for network play.

and UT has an option of single player. But the focus of UT is on multiplayer (the single player really sucks except to hone skills), and the focus of Unreal is on single player.
