Dear Friends, could someone give me step by step instructions on how to play on the net. I am going online, going into the game and can find a bunch of servers. However, when I try to join the game it doesn't connect, saying something to the effect of connection failure. My system spec is as below. Thanks in advance.
 
one of the reasons for "connection failure" can also be the server is full. if you look at the list it should tell you the server load.

also, game patch is another problem. most (if not all) servers have "minimum compatibility" as far as patch is concerned. if your patch is lower, try updating it.

have you configured your player before playing? (well, this doesn't give you connection failure, but a warning)
