Unreal Tournament Won't work right on my geforce 2 mx (q3 works fine)

well there it is in a nutshell Unreal Tournament Won't work right on my geforce 2 mx (q3 works fine)... open gl at once worked on but was way too dark.. i updated my drivers to detonator 6.49 now open gl wont work.... neither will direct 3d... i want d3d to work for UT.... im on direct x7 and i dont plan on going to 8. im also on a duron 700@900 and a hercuels mx @ 200/183.. ive upgraded UT to the latest patch.. please help me out
