The Unreal Anthology is on sale at GoGamer.com for $5.

If you like FPS games and have never played Unreal Tournament, this is the time to get it. You get:

The original Unreal single player FPS game that competed with Quake II and was revolutionary for its graphics and use of color back in the day along with the Return to Na Pali expansion. It also includes the Unreal II single player game.

The original Unreal Tournament Game of the Year Edition (aka UT-GOTY or UT99). This is the greatest online multiplayer FPS game of all time. There are probably over 10,000 custom maps and mods that were made for this game and it had a large and fanatical fan base back in the day. Thousands of players and hundreds of clans (including me) competed in Capture-the-Flag, Deathmatch, Assault, and Domination matches and people still play organized, competitive CTF matches to this day.

Unreal Tournament 2004. This too is an excellent game with thousands of custom maps and mods and you can still find Onslaught, Invasion Monster Hunt RPG, Assault, and probably Deathmatch action today on the public servers.

I picked this up a couple weeks ago when it was going for $10 and that was an awesome deal. Its robbery at 5 bucks. Things always get cheaper after I buy them.

I remember playing UT99 on a 350Mhz PII, 4Mb integrated video, aaand dial-up....ping was horrible and I couldn't kill anyone b/c of it, but the game was so fun I didn't care.

Every FPS fan should have this in there collection.

Well....I remember playing it windowed at 640x480 on 2MB integrated video with my 333MHz s370 Celeron. On 128MB of RAM. So there.

Seriously a great set of games that any FPS'er should have.

Me too, and I bought it from GoGamer... of course right after it came out.

Didn't buy because I already own both (Unreal Anthology at $10 on last sale too) but it would cost me around $13.09 shipped for BOTH! That's pretty hot.

I've already got every version with the exception of Unreal 2. Is that game alone worth $5 + shipping?

Your system should run UT 2004 no problem. Heck, you could probably do it at max video settings. That's what I do and I'm on a Socket 939 with a 4400 overclocked to 2.4 Ghz (crappy overclocker) with 2 GB RAM and an 8800 GT and I run it at 1280 x 1024 at max video settings.

An excellent UT 2004 community with a good Onslaught server and two wildly popular Invasion Monster Hunt RPG servers can be found at http://www.ClanDW.com
