QFT. Also, I'm busy playing other multiplayer games such as ET: Quake Wars, TF2, and CoD4 MP. I might wait for it to come down in price and possibly pick it up when it's in the bargain bin at some point. UT99 was very fun for me and I seriously wanted to like UT2003 and UT2004, but neither of them had that fun factor for me anymore. I am having lots of fun with Quake Wars though.

I own the game and like it just fine but the UI is beyond horrid. The original Unreal Tournament had the best UI with its drop down menu/windows style system. Why Epic moved away from that with each release is beyond me. The demo was also terrible considering how awesome the previous UT demos were (you got a nice chunk of the final game with those demos) and the advertisements are bad too. "From the makers of Gears of War!" is what they say..that is not what pc gamers want to see.

I don't mind the gameplay at all and I have fun with the game but until they totally overhaul the UI and fix up the server business then the game will not get the support from longtime fans which means very little new maps and mods.

Maybe that's what took the fun out of it for me. They consolified it!

I would buy this game in a heart beat if they would make the UI like UT99. I have never been able to stomach the UI since 2k3. I have UT99, UT Championship <dreamcast>, UT2003, UT2004 and I refuse to purchase UT 3 until they fix that. The only thing that could bring me back to the franchise is the modding community. If someone makes some impressive maps that make the game world feel HUGE and cyberpunk like some of the better community UT99 maps before the <toy soldier> maps became popular then I might be more inclined to play it. Also, I'd like character models to be different than the bullshit ripoffs from Warhammer 4k as well as some good <toy soldier> style maps from UT99 like the bathroom. Gosh... memories.

I think the biggest problem is Epic is trying too hard. Don't fix what isn't broke... too bad their 3 sheets into the wind.

I found the demo uninteresting. The graphics were average, gameplay was boring arcade-style ... I'm not a fan of the hyper-fast reflex based shooters in general though

I have the PC to play it on high settings, but I'm going to give it a shot on the PS3. In general, I think its probably just the nature of the game that sales are slowing down, just like QW: ET and Q3.

This basically sums it up for me, too.

I purchased the game and love it, I wish the funny pause that happens during game play gets sorted out soon but otherwise it's a top game and I'm really enjoying it.

There were just so many better games I could buy over it like Call of Duty 4 and The Orange Box. That and UT2004 didn't really hold my interest over 2 weeks so I figured 3 couldn't be much better.

I bought the special edition UT3, and after 10 minutes its boring....I would be much happier if it were just UT2k4 with a new engine....the game on the whole doesnt appeal to me....where are the maps from UT2k3/4.

After patching UT3, my mouse refuses to work in-game.
Brilliant.

Apparently, it has sold only 34,000 copies so far.
Why am I not surprised?

I'm a huge fan of UT99 and I played much on the sniper servers. UT99 Sniper is just the best game ever.
UT2003 and 2004 where huge dissapointments with their play-doh colours and, especially, the weird physics. Totally unplayable.
UT3 finally is a worthy successor to UT99.
Hopefully a sniper mod can be developed to make it as good as UT99 sniper.

I think for me, the problem is I love UT2K4, and UT3 is too much like it. Same weapons, mostly the same vehicles, levels feel generically like the levels from UT2K4, which were fine at the time, but while playing Mortal Kombat in an FPS was fine 2-3 years ago, it's gotten pretty stale in the wake of quality tactical shooters like TF2, CoD4, BF2, and other games.
I think if Epic is going to remain to release PC titles, they need to re-think the Unreal IP and bring out something more exciting than UT2K4 Gold.
