I haven't had that installed for awhile. Why the demo? You can get Unreal Anthology pretty cheap these days, and that gives you UT2k4, which is pretty close to UT2k3.

Go with 2k4, there's still a few demo servers out there. Try UMG's demo server, they usually have admins on to keep things under control.
8800GT has severe known issues with UT 2.5 Engine, Nvidia has responded by mailing each and every user a small wall with which to bang their head against.
come to www.vctf.us and play on our server. It's going strong!
Also, installing Vista with my 8800gtx and this game, the stuttering went away. There seems to be an issue with the way the card handles "zones" in XP. It's really night and day and the only reason I went to Vista in the first place. I had made a map for our ut2k4 server that would not render decent frames in XP. Runs like butter on Vista.
I think the Unreal Warfare stuttering issue in XP was fixed with one of the recent driver updates. There was some talk about it a month ago. I don't have UT2004 installed but I have not seen it in other games based on that engine, which were apparently affected too. Although I'm using a GTX 280, not an 8 series card.
Heck the damn demo servers are far stronger than the servers for those of us who bought the game, so i even go into the demo server to pwn n00bs sometimes.
