Saw the kite tech demo, but not this open world thing you're talking about. Any link to a recording of it?

The Kite scene was in the open world, but they talked about a bunch more stuff in it and showed more. I am guessing there will be a video up soon. They also will be releasing the demo, and the project it's self.

Another useless techdemo.

Show me at least a pre alpha gameplay from a real game.

Thanks. That's pretty cool, though as always.. makes you wonder what kind of graphics horsepower would be needed to run it real-time 60fps in an actual game.

Yeah those are some damn nice real time graphics, the deer that you fly by are "character" with their own AI.

During that twitch stream earlier, they talked about how they created it, and showed a bunch more things from the world.

if they released it, at least it would be one tech demo finally where you could freely explore a large world even if there is nothing to do, it wouldn't be your typical, useless tech demo anyways.

A lot of the stuff they added or are working on are things they are adding to UE4. Or used to show how certain things work

as usual I doubt we'll see this level of art or graphics with the actual engine because every studio is too interested in quick profit to produce a truly stimulating work of art.

For example, some studio will parade with these fully characterized AIs that take gobs of memory and processing power but have a 3-deep decision tree that can't do anything but sit down and run around and avoid obstacles. Nothing intelligent or creative

Looks great.
Cannot wait to play around with it..

Nice amount of talk on their photogrammetry methods etc. (Use Photoscan as expected.)
Really love their delighting and calibration method of captured texture data, really impressive.

Wow thanks, that looked really nice even with the crap quality of Twitch. I hope these guys would at least let this one come out as a benchmark, lol. Damn.
they Did mention it's going to be released on the marketplace. So anyone with unreal engine can down load the project for free and use assets from it. My guess it will be a month or two before that happens because sine of the features they used were still in development.
