Unreal 3 game?

For every release of an Unreal Engine (all 2 of them, not counting Unreal 3) there has been a game to go along with it with the same title. (ie. Unreal, Unreal 2) I know that Unreal 2 is a total letdown, I loved the first one. (and thought that the expansions was decent)
Does anyone know of an Unreal 3 game?

There may be once they are happy with their Unreal universe. BTW I liked U2 but not as much as the original...

I think people thought U2 was a letdown mostly because of the lack of multi player - coop was one of the best things about Unreal.
The single player was pretty good though.

Even for single player U2 was somewhat a letdown. It was a decent game though. Unreal was just had too much atmosphere to achieve in a sequel, I suppose.

unreal2 was a bit disappointing in SP, but i will give it one thing - it had one of the (if not the) BEST flamethrowers ever. that thing was really fun :D

I liked U2's singleplayer a lot. The weapons were unique and the levels had a ton of variety to them, more than I've seen in any other game. The story was a little thin and basically unrelated to the first Unreal, but Unreal's story was already pretty lousy so it wasn't any real loss.

No, I am thinking of Unreal 3. I read the same thing on another forum, and asked the same question, but Unreal 3 is a game. And it's coming.

I felt the story was the wrong one. The thing they talked about where aida let the human race to victory over these other aliens sounded much more interesting.

The original Unreal was a masterpiece but the second one was lacking. I too would like a decent Unreal 3.

Same here. I'd be first in line to buy a real Unreal 3, not just something with the Unreal name slapped on it (like Unreal 2 seemed to be).

I think an Unreal 3 COULD be quite good, because look at the work they did for Gears of War. They have clearly matured in their single-player gaming ability. I look forward to Unreal 3.

Agreed. I'd very much like to see an Unreal 3.

Unreal 2 was done by the now defunct Legend Entertainment (shut down by Atari), so any thoughts of Unreal 2 should be ignored, since any Unreal 3 won't be done by the same people.

Yeah, the whole artifact finding deal wasn't done very well (there never seemed to be any reason why you were looking for them in the first place). I didn't pay much attention to the story though and still found it a great game for its combat and level design. It was just like Unreal 1 in that respect.

Too bad. Some of their earlier games like Mission Critical were awesome.

[edit] what the...it's messsing up the quotes if I try to edit the post.

was was really amazing were the fan made expansions

Unreal2 was pretty good ... it sits in about the same position as IW does to DE ... comparisons suffer although the sequels were OK in their own right
